Request for Prayer Be part of the Mission
See What God Has Done For Others

TESTIMONY:

Blessing in Disguise Growing up in a family affected by mental illness was one of the most challenging experiences of my childhood. My parents fought daily battles with their conditions, and as a child, I often felt the weight of other people's judgments. Some people mocked us and called us names, while others looked at us with pity, whispering that our family was "cursed." There were countless nights where I wished I could somehow change my parents' circumstances and grow up in a peaceful, loving home I saw other children enjoy. But even in the midst of that pain, God was quietly planting seeds of hope in my heart. As I grew older, I began to recognize His care through the faithful presence of our church elders. Whenever my parents were sick, they would visit our home. They prayed with us, encouraged us to keep trusting God, reminded us to read His Word, and urged us never to stop praying and believe that one day He would answer our prayers and we would receive healing. Their consistent presence and gentle encouragement revealed to me the depth of God's unchanging love. Through their example, I learned a truth that sustains me still: storms don't last forever. After every winter comes spring. Even in the darkest night, God's light continues to shine. Their faith and persistent prayers helped me understand that God hadn't forgotten my family or me. Instead, He was walking alongside us, surrounding us with His people as a tangible expression of His love. Over time, I realized that mental illness is not something to be ashamed of. Shame often comes from what people say, but with God's help, I began to see things differently. I understood that this is a test for me, an opportunity to grow. Not everyone is blessed with nurturing and caring parents, and sometimes, life calls us to become our own parents. God gave me that opportunity: to learn how to nurture myself, and also to care for my siblings and parents, the very people who brought me into this world. Through this journey, I have developed into someone with greater maturity and a deeper understanding of the world and its complexities. These challenges, though painful, helped me stay grounded and anchored in my family. They taught me the importance of standing beside my parents and siblings. The difficulties shaped me into the person I am today. For that, I am grateful. God ensures we are never truly alone. He places His people around us to reflect His love and offer us hope when we cannot find it ourselves. I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I know with certainty that in Christ, there is always hope to live and live abundantly. *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved." - Psalms 55:22*
